Pros
Joining the US Air Force helped get me set on the right path for career opportunities and a college education to follow. It really was in many ways the best choice to make to minimize college debt burden while at the same time enabling critical real world experience on airspace technology.
Cons
Being an insular subculture a lot of issues with how theres a split between leadership and low level employees leads to low job satisfaction and retention issues, these things are difficult to root out. I cant think of many Cons besides that, just make sure that your recruiter has you listed for the job you intent to apply to and not the ones the air force needs. Honestly, I had to reach deep to find many negatives since my experience was almost entirely positive.
