Pros

This is one of the better AFSCs for maintaining a stable work-life balance while continuing to serve. Primary job is to instruct aircrew of human factors and hypoxia recognition, but also to contribute to operational support squadron success. Depending on rank, Opportunity, and experience, you’ll be expected to function more and more as a leader outside your career.

Cons

Move to where the AF needs you. The majority of the career field officers do not serve as primary investigators to active research.

Pros

Getting 2.5days of accrued leave per month is nice, which adds up over time. You can request leave whenever within your schedule and it won't be denied.

Cons

Not too much structure when it comes to squadron training. Depends on your squadron but leadership can really determine your experience.
