Pros

Weekly pay was decent other than how they paid. Too many different pay scales. 1 for work time, 1 for driving time which was paid @ 1/2 of hourly wage, ride time was calculated on average of overall hours. No overtime for shop work,

Cons

Job Supervisor was almost like a bully. I have 35 years in this industry and was treated like I knew nothing. Also after working in the shop for 8+ hours a day, they expected you to drive to the jobs site that was sometimes 7 hours away. With having a class A CDL, this just didn't work. While working out of town the Supervisor was continuously late. It's not my job to get him up. Needless to say, we got into it and I ended up getting fired. He was a real Ahole! Company did not back me up so my employment ended with this company.

Pros

Small Crews, Allows you to do multiple types of jobs on the construction/foundation reinforcement.

Cons

Boss would go out of your way to get under your skin. thought it made "better workers" by verbally humiliating, trash talking, racist comments, the list goes on. a prime example of a lousy human being who finally got his opportunity to shine and take out his childhood on his employees. it was difficult to deal with, and made things unsafe. senior management knowingly allows this to happen, and it seems to have been a pretty consistent trend.

Employee reported this issue to management and the supervisor was made aware of the concerns. The employee was counseled on this matter by management and told to have a direct discussion with the supervisor, if the supervisor’s behavior continued the employee was to report this to management for further action. The employee walked off the job the first day of the next work week without notice to any onsite personnel or the office, taking a company truck off the job site without authorization. Employee was terminated for these actions.
