      Pros

      There's a lot of positions available. A lot of shifts available. Location is pretty centrally located if you live in Pittsburgh--right off of main bus lines. There's a lot of pleasant people working there.

      Cons

      Everything. The salary is low compared to acute care facilities. Management and supervisors are completely lazy, unreliable, and incompetent. Discipline is completely arbitrary. Lots of people are so criminally negligent they would have their butts fired and probably prosecuted if they were at other places I've worked, while some of the best coworkers I've ever seen get driven out for trivial things like punching out a few minutes late. No flexibility in scheduling.

      UPMC is an all around wonderful place to work. Im a member services concierge and our team is the highest rated customer service team in the entire state! We love what we do and we do it well!

      No pros. It was a horrible place to work

      Cons

      If you were night shift, you had to work every holiday. The nurses were so lazy and never helped us. We ran around taking care of patients with no help. Changing them, cleaning up horrible messes, taking them to the bathroom and doing vitals with no help. Nurses would sit there eating while on Facebook, while we did all the work. Some would even be sleeping!
