Pros

Ultimate Software was an incredible place to work. It stood alone in terms of its benefits and culture. That culture has been gutted since leadership left. I hope anyone applying to work there now reads current reviews of UKG instead of seeing the old, stellar reviews. Being an incredible place to work for 10+ years is a huge accomplishment and can carry a company in terms of maintaining their image even when things are going steeply downhill, which is what is happening. I have put in my notice after 10+ years, and many of my peers who have been here over a decade have done the same over the last few months. On the plus side.... - Some of the old benefits such as 401k still remain

Cons

- Benefits are being slowly eroded since merger - Talented and experienced employees are leaving in droves - Leadership is completely different, all leadership that made the company what it was is gone - Culture has completely changed, there is no more feeling of individual care & "family" - Managers are clearly receiving pressure from up top to treat employees a certain way, the change is drastic and you can see good managers leaving as the pressure escalates - Outsourcing is ramping up - Lots of talk about inclusivity and diversity that rings absolutely hollow - actions & talk around the protests last summer after George Floyd's murder were particularly egregious

Pros

Working from home and the benefits are okay, but not really any different from those in most other organizations.

Cons

Too many managers are ill-informed about how much work there is to complete. Too many meetings pull employees away from work, yet they are chastised for work-life balance. I do not want to miss a deadline, so I work extra hours but don't report them. Processes seem to change daily. People-first is all but forgotten. Customer service is the unsung hero, carrying the weight of the world but often overlooked. Unrealistic classroom times leave little to no time for Q&A. There are manager pets and clicks in the organization. "Ohana" (meaning Family) is a joke. Do not share innovations with others; they are often stolen by others who will take accolades and credit for themselves. There are egotistical managers who could use a lesson in humility. Growth is nearly impossible. Personal review is a waste of my time. The manager is going to override my ratings with their own. Just give me my review and let's get on with it. It's been all downhill since the merge. Layoffs are a constant worry.
