Pros
Little travel depending on department.
Cons
This company is rife with nepotism and mismanagement. When I arrived on my first day the staff forgot that they had hired me, and I spent the first week completing onboarding that should have been done days prior. Two types of people work at UES, those who have been there for 20 years, and those who have been there for less than 5. Management does not mind constant turnover, for they are mostly not involved in day to day operations. Some of the department managers are terrific, others are only at UES because they would otherwise be unemployable elsewhere. Do not expect annual raises commiserate with inflation, enjoy a 1.2% 401k match, and working with inept managers. The only reason to work at UES is to gain industry skills and transfer to a better organization.
