Management preaches nonstop about teamwork and a sense a community, but does not follow through in creating a good, team-oriented environment for employees. Any time a concern was presented to management (poor scheduling, not being paid the correct amount of money, etc), employees were met with attitude and resistance. Management is horribly unorganized and overall just not nice people. Upper management hired new staff after the pandemic instead of bringing back the employees who worked so many long, hard hours opening the store and dealt with all the drama that came with it. Basically, management just doesn't care about their employees as people, but rather as lowly workers they can exploit and toss to the side.
