Pros
There are definitely some strong people at Tutu. I worked with quite a few smart and experienced colleagues, and the tech stack was pretty good. The tasks were not boring either — there were enough interesting product and analytics problems, and you could learn a lot if you were surrounded by the right team.
Cons
For me, the biggest issue was that analytics did not always feel like it had real influence on the business. A lot of the work was less about finding insights and shaping product decisions, and more about validating decisions that had already been made by management. The atmosphere also depended a lot on the team, and in some places it could be quite toxic. This was one of the main reasons why the experience was mixed. In 2025, there were rumors inside the company that Tutu had been sold to a bank, and after that things seemed to get worse. Salary reviews and bonuses were frozen, working conditions became less attractive, and in 2026 the company started large layoffs. Because of all this uncertainty, I personally would not recommend joining the company right now.
