Pros
Pretty good pay. Short term commitment. Resume booster.
Cons
The communications structure is horrific. The area managers do not give you the necessary information. The company does not give the schools enough information about the program to then pass on to parents. You are virtually dropped into school sites that don't know what to do with you. Paychecks arrive nearly 2 weeks after the end of the work period. But the biggest losers, though, are the kids. You are not tutoring. You are monitoring a large number of children of all different grade levels on a computer-based program. The kids who utilize the program need significant 1-on-1 time, which you cannot offer due to the large volume of kids and short sessions. In the end, the company is only focused on raising test scores 10%, even if it's still a failing percentage.
