Pros
Flexible schedule as you can work as many hours as you want, also is becoming more difficult to get students.
Cons
This company has become really greedy. A year ago I got £33/hour and students used to pay £40. Now, as they have hugely increased their commission, I had to reduce my fees to £30, and students pay £45. Tutorhunt add around 50% of your earnings to the students' fees, making really hard to advertise yourself with a competent fee. Not long ago, when you accepted a new student you had to sign a contract and it was mandatory to tick a box where you were banned to disclose your final earnings and the commission TutorHunt got from your students. Why???? I don't think this was even legal. I am not only a native speaker, I'm also an experienced teacher who work in a school and I studied two degrees and a PGCE to be well prepared, therefore I would like to get a decent earning!! In addition to this, their service is just awuful (well, there is not service at all!). They don't bother to reply to your emails if you have any issue or question. While I do understand they need to get some commission from tutors to keep the site running, they have become abusive, exploitative and show no respect for tutors and students.
