Good job for the right person - Teacher Tsinglan School Employee Review

Pros

Very Chinese school with a strong international flavor (but it is China). Students work well but discipline is inconsistent. At times the management are kind but unquestioning loyalty is important. Meals are good. Conditions are good. Good Colleagues. Good place to save as there is not much to spend on. Suits staff with young family, ideally a teaching couple with school aged kids.

Cons

Don't mistake this one for an International School, it is bilingual with international curricula though. Big workload but good pay. Parents have a lot of pull with management. Some colleagues feel judged by people who have not the ability to make such judgements. Lots of pointless meetings.

Pros

As a new teacher arriving in China, my experience at Tsinglan School has been very positive. The school provided a lot of support during my relocation, making the transition much easier than I expected. They helped with many practical aspects of moving, which made me feel safe, welcomed, and understood from the very beginning. What I especially appreciate about Tsinglan is the freedom it gives teachers to be creative in the classroom. The school encourages us to try new teaching strategies and explore different ways to engage students. This supportive environment has helped me grow professionally and continuously improve my teaching practice.

Cons

I don’t have anything bad to say. I think if you are dedicated and love teaching this is a great school

Pros

* Great colleagues and a genuinely supportive faculty culture * Strong commitment to diversity and inclusion * Excellent professional development opportunities * As both a staff member and a parent of a student, I’ve had a very positive experience from both perspectives

Cons

None. (Working in China comes with cultural and system differences that candidates should research independently.)
