Small, close knit family of companies.
Cons
Poor communication between management and those doing the work.There are no policies for managing employee issues. As a result, each manager is left to their own discretion to handle employee matters. The problem with this is, not all employees are treated fairly/similarly regarding similar matters such as sick time, appointments, bereavement time, education reimbursement, training, performance reviews, raises, etc. There are clear inequalities based on who you know and other not so ethical factors (gender).
