Cons

Good morning everyone,        To whom it may concern, this is going to be an extremely long-winded email, but in the interest of literal transparency, and everyone needing to be "In the Know" I've CC'd everyone that I possibly can.          I'm going to start with my personal experience and move on to the overall experience and observations.       I have been working at Tricore since January of 2023, and in that time, I have watched all matters of crazy things happen both in my department, and at Woodward as a whole. Previous to this job, I was in management in every place I've worked over the past ten years and was told when I was hired here that I would "move up quickly" when my resume was discussed. Since then, I have gone through debilitating medical issues; including uterine fibroids, which I consequently had to have a total hysterectomy to combat in late April of last year. That alone feels like the trigger for all of the poor treatment that I have received from my leadership. My leadership's behavior has cost me a good deal of what little sanity I have left at this point. I have been told by my own leadership for more than a year, that I would end up in management at some point "Soon". Since then, I have been told over and over again that it's only a "matter of time","keep doing a little extra", and the promises are never kept. It's gotten so bad with my leadership that I've had to resort to therapy, and my original GAD diagnosis severity has gone from medium to severe because of all of the stress I've been under to overperform in my department in order to progress. Especially without any sort of pay compensation, or a bump from CLA 2 to 3. It adds insult to injury when they've used the lack of a tangible modality system as a reason to not promote anyone, when even Eric Carbonneau himself said on the Tricnet main page that managers have been processing promotions without the modality ladder published.        Additionally, I was told by my leadership when applying for a trainer position for the first time, last year in Specimen Management, that I needed to be with Tricore for two years in order to qualify for the position via "HR say-so". This year, I applied again, and was denied regardless of my two years here, and numerous years of management/training experience previous to my time here, and instead, was shown that someone who hasn't been with Tricore for two years CAN in fact, be hired for those positions. I have gotten to the point where I am literally, constantly mentally fatigued by the incessant lies and empty promises that this department has made.       The amount of additional stress that this has caused for me has made it both mentally and physically overwhelming to just BE at work most days as I feel like I am being wholly taken advantage of and disrespected as an individual with a lot of previous experience. I don't feel like I can trust my supervisors, or my Department head, as they have all made the same empty promises. I had to schedule an appointment with my PCP on two separate occasions in the past two months to assess the likelihood of my work anxiety being the root cause of my excessive illness over the past several months. I've had to attend therapy sessions weekly, to address the overwhelming amount of concern, anxiety, and depression that all of these issues have dumped on my plate. Along with the fact that this has started to strain my marriage as my husband has had to see me go from loving my job, to being an anxious, horrified, mess of a human being because of the way my job has treated me.       Everyone in management brags about how amazing the PTO system is, and how they work hard, but those of us who are dealing with medical issues are struggling to keep up, because we don't accrue PTO as quickly, so when we need to use FMLA, or something similar, we're left with empty pockets for taking care of our health, especially because using EIB is such a nightmare. It was brought up on the main page that there's a lot of frustration around management getting to work from home when they're not feeling well or have family emergencies. None of the lower staff are allowed these sorts of accommodations, and it's left a lot of us with a sour taste in our mouths. Coincidentally, I had sent an email asking about working from home not long before that comment was made, and it was why I chose to comment on it and build the rapport.        I've watched no less than four people, who were with Tricore for more than ten years, straight up walk out in the past few months, two of whom were from the same department on the same day. Additionally, I have seen no less than a dozen employees across the site leave because they're so fed up with being led along like a horse with a carrot on a stick regarding better pay, definitive modalities, training, management opportunities, or any other sort of progression. It's not right, and the whole of the facility has the right to know that this has been going on for years. Several departments are dealing with their techs leaving over issues with their management, and when they bring up concerns, they are buried under the supervisor's power. I've seen literal harassment of an employee get brought up by a dozen different people to leadership, and it NOT get addressed AT ALL to any degree that actually resulted in a change. Let alone giving the aggressor in the instances ANY sort of consequence.        I may not have a degree, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that this place is falling apart at the seams, and leadership is going to drive away EVERY. SINGLE. EMPLOYEE. Over the next few years, simply because they treat the lowest employees like cattle, like they're replaceable, and while that may be true, you can only replace SO MANY people before no one wants to work for your company anymore. We see leadership bring up cost concerns, and so many of us have overheard them as they walk around, eyeing the site and seeing where they can cut corners.        The treatment of those without degrees by upper management, by the way, is abhorrent. Just because someone didn't earn a sheet of paper that said they graduated from a college or technical school, or got a certification of some sort, does not mean that the employees you have are any less qualified, intelligent, or focused on growth. I see those who aren't actively in school, or those who don't have college degrees get treated so much differently by ALL members of management, compared to those who do. As if experience has no meaning. As if you can't teach those who wish to learn; the skills they need to succeed without pushing them to spend a small fortune to get educated enough to fit your narrative here.    I'm so sick of watching this place tear itself apart from the inside, simply because upper management could care less about anyone who isn't "educated", and barely cares about the employees that ARE.      -I will not be entertaining management conversations, as they have done no good up to this point, and I doubt they would going forward. So, please, if you're management. We're done here.       Thank you for your time, and for some of my time here being great! Thank you to the co-workers and community that have been here for me, and vice versa. You are all easily the reason I even stayed this long to begin with.

This email is going to serve as my official resignation, as I can no longer work for a company that employs those who would serve for their own gains, and disciplines those who have the audacity to complain or stand up for themselves or theirs/others well-being.

Cons

leadership does not want to acknowledge prior mistakes and move forward to correct them.
