Pros
Knew exposure to another side of Manufacturing Engineering . Most of my work as an Engineer was in the very fast paced high volume production line set up and Project Management in the automotive industry compared to the highly chanlenging fast pace of the research and development of prototype one off parts in the Aerospace industry.
Cons
The bad part about this current Aerospace company is that they have gone through three years prior to my arrival of very uneasy reorganization and very high acummulated financial loss. I was told at the two week point with them that they don't have the resources for on the job trianing of their systems or practices and that they simply don't have a trianing program. I am a self starter but even at that it made for a very uncomfortable and disconnected start with this company. At the current time they are doing a lot of laying off and slimming down . This does not make for a very stable enviornment to work in although I will always do the best I can to reverse the current situation for this company to turn things around.
