Pros
- generous staff discounts and perks
- local management at my location was generally good
- Best group of humans to work/suffer with
Cons
- RSM and Bar Lead jobs are advertised as tipped positions, but upper management does everything in their power to subvert guests' ability to tip; I averaged less than $3/ hour in tips over the course of roughly 18 months
- $20/hour sounds great in principle, but it's not sustainable given modern economic dynamics
- unreceptive to critical feedback; was told, "If you're not happy, you can leave"
- everything is "urgent" - it's not that serious. It's beer and pizza. Optimal service is ideal, yes, but chronically reimagining systems that work to make them needlessly complicated, less guest friendly, and decidedly less employee friendly is unncessary. Chill out. Drink a beer.
- Survives based on reputation when the brewed product has significantly declined - only matters if you care about beer, however. Can't wait to drink another 8.4% DIPA brewed with all New Zealand hops. Blech.
