Pros

The floor employees are generally kind, forgiving people who genuinely care.

Cons

Uncaring management who don't care about anything but the bottom line, even if the end result is running their employees into the ground for profit, sexist atmosphere, long grueling hours for barely above min wage, skilled labor with pay less than that of a McDonald's worker, pressure to do more with no upward movement and no clear idea what the goal for quality was My time here went from wonderful to abysmal in less than a three week period. During the holiday season, they pressured people into working 12 hours shifts, and we were constantly guilt-tripped if we didn't agree to work overtime. By the time I left they made us sign a contract saying we agreed to always work overtime during "busy" months with no idea what that meant. The switch in QC and floor management made everyone around me's lives unbearable to the point where half the people I talked to joked about quitting. One person said they needed surgery and another quit because breathing in nylon fumes gave them nosebleeds. One time I tried to complain to upper level staff about a product issue and was told, "sucks to suck" with no solution. The demand for product is never met and if you go fast, they only want you to go faster.

Hello, this is Mark, Thank you for your feedback and I am sorry to hear about your experience. Since we have seasonal fluctuations our reliance on our people increases with holidays. It isn’t ideal, and a bit chaotic, I agree. Your feedback isn’t going unheard, and I will always be pushing to improve as a business. Take care,

Pros

Working with Mark can be rewarding and challenging - he does what he can to help you succeed and responds well with direct communication. We worked one-on-one fairly often and this was always a positive experience for me! He has a wealth of knowledge and experience and loves to share this with others. Trayvax can teach you a lot - They really value cross-training and self-education, with a library of books they pay you to read and an educational budget to pay for courses and things for employees. If that's your thing, I had a lot of support when I expressed interest in these directions, and I really appreciated that. The company can be really adaptable if you have a good idea, I think this is kind of the heart and soul of the organization - to find ways to support innovation and change and empower employees to improve their environment. Also, the products are awesome. It's great to work with these high quality items and friends were always really impressed when I showed them off. Employees had access to a discount bin and these made great gifts for family members and gave me and others pride in the things we made.

Cons

Now for the cons - HR was cut way back during Covid and this negatively impacted the business and company morale. There were some big layoffs during my time there and this further impacted the morale of employees. The turnover can be high for entry-level positions where people don't feel that they can take pride in their work. This high turnover also was a big drain on morale. Morale was the main problem. By the time I left, managers were openly deriding the company, CEO, and other managers on a daily basis. It didn't feel like anyone was in a good position to change this. I wish the best for Mark and Trayvax, I heard that they have a new GM and I hope they can get back to the strong bones and solid intentions that created the company in the first place. Something tells me they will.

Pros

Some of the people are cool. Paychecks are nice

Cons

Some of the managers are shady characters who do drugs and have been to prison. I would not recommend unless you like working in a sweatshop
