Pros

Some really good people and the domain is interesting

Cons

The lead of the team has his favorites, if you're not in it, good luck getting any praise or reward. Team leaders don't listen in the back-end team, known throughout the company as being the burnout team, and that he kills and burns out teams People get blocked from being promoted constantly Too much work being prioritized with constant context switching and constant production incidents. There's no-one caring about testing, there's not even proper test environments for the new items being developed!!! Not enough testers and no time to write automation and then production incidents happen. Product team keep changing their mind on what to make Too many people that have been there 10 years + that cause issues and feel like they are always right because they've been there for so long Bonus reduction and real terms pay cuts even though we reached all goals and had better scorecard results CEO is already making his exit plans and returning to Canada but implementing an awful return to the office policy

Pros

Smart and interesting people back when Eddie was still the owner. Beer after work almost every day - good team spirit and a great culture. Annual company trip to some place in Europe was nice. Office environment was top-notch, with open desk for even management. Pantry always had lots of food for the staff to freely consume. A few of my old colleagues become team leads, so there must still be some good people around!

Cons

Pay was not too good; as technical consultant work sometimes gets boring and repetitive; client director back then was snobbish and a little arrogant.
