Pros

I started from the bottom and worked my way up.. I was able to grow and learn as I got older and was given a lot of opportunities when I first started.

Cons

Where do I start.. something happened and the work environment/culture just plummeted.. the drama and politics are out of control. Your terrified of your managers and end up walking on egg shells every day. You can never do anything right unless you kiss their butt and don’t question anyone says. They expect for you to say how high when they say jump. Your supervisor will tell you to do something and then your manager/AVP will scold you for doing it. And before you can even explain that you were told to do it they have already shut you down and told you to go away. The level of respect is sad. The constant harassment from my management brought me to insanity literally.. had to take FMLA because the work environment was so hostile and unhealthy I had sever panic attacks just getting up to go In the office. And then there’s HR.. the place your supposed to be able to go to anonymously, and file a non biased report for wrongful treatment but not at Travis. Their HR department is going to stick with their company not the employee like their supposed to. You file complaints and they don’t even file the report. I had to keep emails for record because HR kept no record of complaints. They had 4 out of 6 employees from a particular department quit at the same time for the sale reasons and instead of HR and the company doing its job to see what the problem was, they chose to listen to the management of that department who tried to sugar coat the problem with employees unhappy about pay. Instead of reaching out to said employees to find out what the root of the problem was they just washed it over. One day they will have a serious law suite on their hands.. it’s just not the place to work for that it used to be. Which is sad... The best thing for my mental health and life was to leave and I couldn’t be more happy with that decision. I chose taking a PAY CUT over having the extra money and being harassed constantly!

Thank you for the fantastic review! We’re thrilled to hear your experience was seamless and that you feel equipped for success. A diverse team, growth opportunities, and the right tools are exactly what we strive for every day. As for your only ‘con’ - not joining sooner - don’t worry, we’re working on inventing a time machine for future hires (just waiting on the budget approval!). Until then, we’ll settle for making sure every day here feels like the right time to be part of Travis Credit Union. Thanks for being part of our journey and for reminding us why we love what we do!

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad to hear that the call tools and processes made it easier to support members, being able to efficiently answer and transfer calls is essential in this role (no one enjoys playing phone tag for a living). We also appreciate your honesty about the high call volume and the reality of working with people who may be stressed. Supporting members through important, and sometimes urgent, moments can be demanding, and that’s something we’re very aware of. We continue to focus on staffing, training, and support resources to help teams manage volume while also taking care of themselves when the “caller needs” queue feels extra lively. Thank you again for taking the time to leave a review. Feedback like this helps us continue improving the employee experience while delivering great service to our members.
