Pros

They offer a hybrid schedule

Cons

Some of the most evil people you will ever meet work at this company, and I do not say that lightly. The lack of honesty and integrity is astounding. There is no standard for decency or respect. Upper management allows and even encourages bullying, and the repeat offenders do not get punished. People in leadership positions are allowed to act like children, stomping their feet when they don't get their way, and taking out their insecurities on everybody else. Petty gossip runs rampant, and problems will not be communicated to you in a straightforward, adult manner, so you will not be able to address them properly. People are pitted against each other, resulting in growing and festering animosity. The environment is performative and, as others have said in reviews here, you will feel like you have to be "on" all the time. I was excited to work at this company when I started, but I was running out the door by the time I left. Go elsewhere.

Pros

We receive continuous training to stay up to date with new state regulations and market trends. My colleagues make the day go by quickly. The benefits are very reasonable. There is room for career growth if you know how to network. I appreciate their consistent push for community volunteer opportunities.

Cons

The personal lines department seems to be falling apart right now. Issues with the internal systems are resulting in underwriters doing multiple jobs and becoming a dumping ground for all agent issues even if they aren't underwriting related. I don't feel that the directors are truly expressing to the senior leadership team the impact that all these issues are having on the mental health and quality of life for the employees that are on the front lines trying to maintain a good reputation for the company. It's sad to see how quickly this department has gone downhill and the amount of quality underwriters that are jumping ship for different departments or different companies all together. What's even sadder it that no one with authority seems to care, or listen, when concerns are brought forth. I truly advise anyone considering applying for any position within the personal insurance department to hold off until things start to change - it's not worth the mental anguish that you'll experience.
