Pros
Competitive starting salary, good benefits & vacation time, company holidays are generous. Can purchase additional PTO which can be used or cashed in in December right before the holidays, standard industry employee discounts available, some work from home options.
Cons
Unreasonable workload in the injury claim department with no processors, in addition to metrics that are really only attainable if you have a reasonable file count. Over time this resulted in most of my peers either resigning, going on leave or being placed on a performance plan causing major deficits in staffing with no consideration or recourse for current employees who were actually attempting to be successful. Diversity and inclusion felt more like a box to be checked vs being a true concern of the company. Unclear plans for the office reopening with an ‘open design plan’ during COVID. Nepotism was rampant, work product not as important as who you’re friendly with or if your manager liked you aside from work product. Bonus and pay structure are completely unclear.
