Pros
Generally, it is a nice place to work. The pressure is low. The level of politics is below normal. The hours are reasonable and the people are nice. The company does a lot of little things that are nice. It is also one of the few places that stills offers a decent pension and matching 401k plan.
Cons
It is a company of low expectations. The company does ok but it could be much more than it is. Management has so much in breeding that they think this is normal and do not realize how much better it could be. The bulk of management is where they are because of functional skills not management or leadership skills. It is difficult to bring change or modern techniques to the business since senior management is not well versed in the language of management.
