Good as stepping stone, not a career company - Senior Project Manager TransPerfect Employee Review

Pros

Fairly low barrier to entry. Remote work in some divisions.

Cons

Low pay, fight for right to use pto, expecting PMs to do everything, low pay for contractors means lots for the PM team to fix, so you're pretty much doing it all yourself anyways. Chinese sales team undersells you and verbally abuses you and your subordinates. HR does nothing about reports of the abuse. No employee loyalty at all. Zero relocation support, when this is one of the supposed main benefits of the company is the ability to work for any office if you're willing to handle the logistics yourself. I'm a "former" employee as evidence that this is false. Most importantly - I was written up for insubordination for reporting to the company legal team about the illegal activity I was instructed to not question and just do.

Pros

Provides strong opportunities for travel, especially around conferences. The company makes a strong effort to onboard and support new employees and clients. There are many great colleagues to connect with and learn from.

Cons

My experience was that leadership lacked clear direction and timely decision-making. The culture felt transactional, with employee retention and development taking a back seat to short-term financial performance.
