Pros
I had the opportunity to work with some of the best people I've ever met and had the best managers I could ever ask for.
Cons
In the past six months, DataForce has unfortunately lost a lot of critical components on the Delivery side. Some of these departures were involuntary, which has had a cascading effect leading to resignations and I expect more incoming. This is part of what I consider to be a larger shift within the department away from homegrown talent towards poaching from competitors, which has by and large closed off promotional opportunites for most project managers and coordinators. TransPerfect has always paid poorly, especially with consideration of the level of effort needed to succeed, but previously I could honestly say it's a great place to grow your career especially if trying to break into the industry. However, I haven't seen this sort of professional mobility in the last year and the direction appears to be moving away from that as an option. I can only speak as a contributor to the DataForce team, but I hear a lot of similar issues on the translations side of TransPerfect as well, especially in compensation and work-life balance. I can no longer recommend working at TransPerfect.
