Pros
None. It's the most toxic environment I've ever seen.
Cons
They send you a warning if you're 10 min late in the morning, but leaving at 11 pm every day or working on bank holidays is not a problem for them. On my first day here, my TL hands me a 25-page long "final eye" review 2 min before 6 pm. I didn't even know what to look for since I hadn't had that training yet. By the end of the first week, I had already 15 projects to work on... every translator is blacklisted so you actually have to beg them to take on your projects. How are you supposed to find translators and revisors if there aren't enough on your database?! How do you handle 15 translation projects 1 week after you start?! Especially if you can't find anybody to do the work because everybody is blacklisted for delivering work 10 min after the deadline!! It's just ridiculous! By the end of week 2, I had already been to the doctor because of anxiousness and I had spent a few sleepless nights thinking about how I was going to deliver certain projects. Needless to say that I quit a few weeks after. After I quit, I started receiving messages on social media from people who "wanted to know my impressions about working at Transperfect"... Of course I never replied and of course, this was someone from the company trying to see if I would speak badly about the company. Well, guess what, I didn't do it back then but I had to get it off my chest now. So everyone, if you're thinking about working here, just don't!! Seriously, don't even approach these people!
