Pros
The people I work with here really, deeply care both about the product but more importantly, about their co-workers and in particular, their co-worker's well-being. I find the technical challenges very interesting and more importantly, am always empowered to solve them as I see fit in collaboration with my team. Accountability overall has increased over the last year and a half and because of that, I feel that it is a very high trust environment where people support each other. From what I can see, the pains of the layoffs are starting to recede and we can see we're on track to profitability in the near future with growth in revenue and hiring picking up. I'd say one of the big pros is around career progression as there are ample opportunities to step up above where you're at and lead all over the place.
Cons
Any look through recent reviews will show that the company is facing pains from the layoff round in 2020 which wasn't handled particularly well from the administrative and communication perspective. Things have certainly greatly improved but walking out of layoffs straight into home isolation via COVID wasn't a great combo. Very, very much looking forward to being able to see my co-workers in person in the near future!
