Pros

Can make over 100k, as long as you are willing to give up 60 plus hours and 1000 miles on your car per week.

Cons

Unfortunately, there are much easier ways to make over 100k without stressing yourself to run (mostly unqualified) appointments all over town. The training is haphazardly provided. You’re saddled with massive amounts of follow up, documentation, drawings, emails and NON stop noise from a chat app. Even after 10 hours of running around to “not home”, “ not the owner” or “ another one legger who can’t make the decision”… you must now find the time to update and note all your appointments. Shouldn’t I eat food at some point during the day…it’s that crazy. Run and you run from appt to appt, with training interjected sparsely on-site and in an unintelligible rapid fire staccato style. Then you are told, you make a mistake and it comes out of your commission. You can make good money…just realize you are working 6 days a week and upwards of 12 hours per day. The annual cost of gas and auto maintenance to the tune of driving 50k miles per year will EAT into your pay significantly. Theres also the 60 to 70 plus hours folks to make 100k to 120k…do the math, it’s not that great of pay. Life’s way too short.

Pros

OK for someone who doesn't have a full family life. It's almost as if you are your own company working for yourself with someone else determining your income.

Cons

So many long drives. Routes aren't planned well. It's definitely a "boys club." A bunch of trash talking on apps. Managers don't say the same things. If make any kind of error, it comes out of your pocket from day one. You might have a 9am appointment and nothing until 6pm when you're far from home or office so you need to hit the gym and a movie and catch up on follow up of past appointments. Can be long hours. Then you can go days without a scheduled lead so door-knocking and cold calls happen. Production messes up a lot which effects your income.
