Pros
There are certain colleagues who are committed, supportive and considerate. The science can be pretty cutting-edge and interesting (if the projects are well managed!).
Cons
Lacking opportunities for professional and personal development. There is a poor (or non-existent) structure for progression within the company, and HR do not have effective systems for monitoring and supporting personal development. Poor management practices where decisions are made without consulting employees, and only communicated poorly and last minute. This leads to projects being badly managed, overworking, and unhealthy team dynamics. The compensation is poor, especially compared to similar companies in the sector, and excellent work performance is rarely rewarded.
