TopStack Resume Response
3y10% of orders converting sounds odd. Consistently, over time, 85-90% of clients that receive a draft of their resume/CV end up paying for it. Many orders, historically, have been placed where we were never able to contact the client... and no drafts were created. But we've made big improvements to vetting our orders which has made a positive impact on the overall conversion rate.
The point this writer makes, though, is important. This job is a contract position and earnings are variable. I think many writers prefer the certainty of guaranteed income for time spent working. If that's the case, an hourly resume writing job is probably the best fit. Our model provides greater flexibility and earnings potential, but you lose the certainty of what other jobs can offer.
Additionally, we are making strides to improve our writers' experience / earnings potential at TopStack. We now pay our senior writers for all resumes/CVs they complete, regardless of whether or not they convert. We also have about 10-20% of our orders (in the U.S. -- this % is lower in Canada / the UK / Australia) paid up-front by clients.
