Pros
The job is one that will push you to grow and learn both in your sales abilities and personal grit. I would never recommend for someone I care about but MAYBE recommend for someone that is fresh out of college but that isn’t able to be pushed around by the higher ups, influenced by the flashy trips, and poisoned by the koolaid. Basically if you are willing and able to give your soul to this company - go for it, give it at least 3.5 years, and be ready to convince your family and friends along the way why you’re satisfied with working 6:30am-5:30pm to be making 0 base and on average 13% commission.
Cons
HR NIGHTMARE! Starting with telling the girls they need to be wearing more makeup, doing their hair better, etc. to telling others they need to be wearing nicer clothes, whitening their teeth, etc. the office I was in was incredibly toxic and when going to company-wide meetings it was obvious that was acceptable within the overall culture. The top salespeople are allowed to get away with ANYTHING! Want to sexually assault women at company trips? No worries as long as your a president’s club member or above! Ask anyone how nice the number one sales person is if you’re curious about this one. Can’t afford the $2,000 clothing and equipment purchase that is ASSUMED/PRESSURED when you start? Sorry too late, chances are your manager already submitted your measurements and the clothes are being made. I can not recommend this company to anyone unless they want to go through something that will break them down, make them question their worth, and most likely end years down the road with nothing out of it other than a couple of beat up suits.
