Pros
Good product with top notch manufacturing facilities
Cons
There is zero trust for any external sales employee. If you are to join the company in an external sales role in GB expect to be micro managed to within an inch of your life…no exaggeration. Huge level of staff turnover on external roles and that is the reason why. They have made it compulsory for external sales staff to be office based 2 days a week. On these days you are required to log and send the number of phone calls you have made, number of meetings you have booked (despite management have the IT resources to see this automatically for themselves) Despite various attempts made by HR and Marketing to improve things, the company culture is just vile. Again, all links back to the complete lack of trust staff are given. Don’t expect to have any input (not even a quick conversation with management) into the budget/target for the year. Do not expect a culture where you can positively or confidently challenge decisions made higher up…huge bullseye on your back if you do. The business seems very detached from the reality of the market. They have no interest in building “real” relationships with its customers. They want to be more “transactional” with their customers, hence the huge shift in “external” sales staff actually being internally based at Tobermore HQ There is almost zero chance of any career progression either…this seems reserved for staff close to the Senior Management Team.
