Pros
New product offering called Tinkergarten Anywhere is innovative
Cons
Tinkergarten is shutting down its core offering (in-person classes) at the end of Winter 2023. Accordingly, they let essentially their entire workforce go, and gave us all 1 week of severance pay. They laid us off the first day back from the Holidays, unexpectedly. In those layoff calls, the CEO quipped that “we had to fight the board to get 1 week.” The CEO offered to help us all find our next opportunities, but as confirmed by multiple former teammates we’ve either been blocked or ignored by those executives and board members. Tinkergarten is continuing on with its business, despite its claims it doesn’t have the money to pay an adequate severance. Despite its facade of claiming to be a family-first education company, Tinkergarten’s actions (and the actions of its board, comprised of WndrCo. and Owl Ventures partners) demonstrate it is anything but.
