Pros

Some staff members are knowledgeable and there for the right reasons

Cons

System feels hardwired to exist in a state of constant panic with last minute planning, unrealistic deadlines and ongoing changing of goals and outcomes. The message of wellness is not transferred to staff. Staff is made to feel insecure and constantly in "in the wrong" when leadership plans poorly and provides little to no guidance. Team members are stressed and scared so lash out on each other. There is no trust at all and regardless of your title, you education, or ancestry you will be treated harshly.

Pros

Mission behind work and output for communities is meaningful

Cons

Absolutely everything else. Lateral violence is pervasive. Absolutely no support from a cold and ineffective HR. Absolutely no support from a rigid, cold, inflexible, intimidating, and micromanaging management. The internal culture IS NOT reflective of the external values and mission of the org or work done for community. It IS NOT a kind place to work. Management is not cohesive. Staff do not trust one another because of the unhealthy and fear-based leadership styles of the ED and management. Turnover is incredibly high. Current staff are constantly either looking for new work or on their way out. It is not a stable, comfortable, or healthy place to work. Avoid at all costs.

Pros

You'll learn how much chaos you can tolerate before breaking.

Cons

Culture is beyond toxic and if you don't fit that mold, you are shamed. The whole environment is run by control freaks who think barking orders equals leadership. People act aggressively for no reason, and the constant shifting of direction makes it is impossible to feel like you're actually accomplishing anything. Policies get bent depending on who you are, which makes the whole setup feel fake and unfair. Every day is filled with problems that could easily be avoided if management had any clue what they were doing. Honestly, the place is just awful, and the revolving door of people quitting says everything you need to know.
