Pros

I really enjoy working in the EMEA environment. There are some exceptional people who are all on a mission to build something great. The product is groundbreaking and truely differentiated in the BI space right now. Yes there's certain functionality that is being requested, due to the differences from traditional BI platforms, but the product team takes on customer feedback well and retaining customers is extremely important to the company. How its integrated AI within the platform is better than anyone else right now. ThoughtSpot has developed an amazing sales practice and approach, I've learnt from a lot of great sales people in such a short time. The learning opportunities I think are great, everyone wants to contribute positively to support employee progression. Executives are also willing to get stuck in, there are very little hierarchies in ThoughtSpot. If you ask for support, you will get it. There are some rock stars in this organization, specifically in PreSales, Customer Success and Support. Who genuinely care about the success of customers. The company is still agile, tries to change things when employees request, but these things take time in any organization regardless of size.

Cons

Diversity. It's a strategic priority, the company does need more diversity across the board. It's aware and the right conversations are happening to address which is good. The company has gaps due to lack of investment in certain areas.

Pros

Competitive salaries, supportive leadership, lunch stipend for those in office, decent benefits, embracing AI, truly trust in their employees, volunteer days, unlimited PTO, work life flexibility, positive and exciting culture. Honestly-- I like coming to work and I really enjoy the people I get to work with. Not a lot of my peers in my same function, but at different companies, can say that.

Cons

Can feel isolating as many of us are remote. Often only the sales team is allowed to incur travel.

Pros

- good team members and peers in mid-senior management - flexible time off (sort of) - amazing product - great tools for building with AI

Cons

- burnout culture: "intensity" is a core value that plays out as burning people out, We've lost some good people over this. - when execs ask for feedback, and people are honest, they gaslight the folks giving feedback to minimize and dismiss the issues raised. - the week between Christmas and New Year's used to be company wide time off. Now it has to be approved by management. There were clearly some executives who wanted this to happen because they couldn't stand giving the whole team time off at once. See burnout comment above. - impulsive and reactive CEO. Fire drills every week that derail current projects. Downstream, we get harpooned by our direct C-level for not meeting deadlines. Other items have to be deprioritized in order to accommodate his urgent requests; there's no way around this.
