Pros
This place attracts really smart, dedicated people who want to use their brain to make change in the world. You'll learn to be a self-starter and learn to survive in chaos.
Cons
Unfortunately the smartest people leave once they've figured out a few things about the organization and its leadership, including that the stated mission may not actually be achievable. Constant "emergency" mindset is stressful. You cannot be in a state of surge 100% of the time over several years. Not sustainable. An organization that seems like it started with good intentions but over time has just become like many NGOs, a place for leadership to get a nice salary without actually make an impact. Obsession with a toxic variety of DEI seems to be the purpose of the organization--rather than something to be built into the culture, it seems to BE the culture. Doesn't give people room to breathe and be human.
