Pros
Lots of "control" in mentorship, schedule flexibility, get paid to enhance your craft, and typical benefits of being an independent contractor
Cons
Unsteady flow of work (would be wise to not rely on this for primary income), pay is sub par for industry, pay schedule is roughly a month after service(rediculous lead time on billing), the company clearly cuts corners every year to save money and this directly impacts the contractors, unclear communication / expectations of the junior engineers that you train (we get lots of questions that must be deffered to Thinkful and many rules are not clear. You will also find students who seek help beyond the mentorsession as a last resort and must decide to leave them hanging or go above and beyond without additional pay)
