Pros
The people - writers, other PMs, editors, graphic designers - are great. You can build a solid camaraderie with your team for the most part. The work is interesting at times. Reading the articles that were written was fun, and the themes recipes and animal pieces were cute.
Cons
The managers do not take accountability for their actions, and they act on emotion and not good business practices. Management uses scare tactics and refuse to lower your work load. They let the customers walk all over you and encourage you to take it. The amount of people who have been randomly promoted in the last year is ridiculous. The company needs leadership - “leadership” does not equal friendship. The pay and PTO policy are also unacceptable in this day. With inflation as high as it is, you cannot expect people to live off of $45-50k/year. Offering a gift card for a monthly popularity contest isn’t fair either. The company preaches about culture when in fact they only care about throwing random parties. I think the company seriously lacks diversity and inclusion. There is no work/life balance, which is sad, as that’s another thing management brags they offer.
