Pros

Travel to interesting places both domestic US and international. Able to work with new technology for a leading Emergency Response company that is well respected in the industry. I find these other bad reviews comical. These are written by the same 5-10 percent that complain about everything and don’t answer their phone for a response callout. TRG is an EMERGENCY RESPONSE company which means….we respond to emergencies. If you are hired as a fire fighter, then your job is to fight fires. If you are hired as a cook, then your job is to cook food. This job is for people that want to be in the emergency response field.

Cons

Not really a "con", but yes there is lots of travel and yes it can be at a moments notice. But it is emergency response and part of our job description. Know what you are getting to before you take the job. The expectation on travel was explained during my interview for the job.

Pros

The Response Group (TRG) is the industry leader in Crisis Management and Emergency Response with a wide spectrum of experience in the oil and gas, chemical, and emergency response industries for both private and public sector. We provide quality products with a suite of emergency response software and services from plans to actual response support. Through the appropriate and accurate implementation of technology, regulatory interpretation, and creativity, we shall provide practical and cost effective solutions to the full spectrum of our clientele. We will make every effort to exceed expectations and ensure success to all parties.

Cons

Working in the Emergency Response industry means that sometimes you deal with unfortunate tragedies that affect different things. Its a part of the world we live it but its great to be on the side that assists with the overall response effort to mitigate unfortunate situations.

Pros

Work Travel if you enjoy that Airline and Hotel Points Client Networking Hard workers on GIS Team

Cons

Overworked, underappreciated. The GIS department consists mostly of recent college grads that are in need of experience. In my experience 3-4 GIS Specialists quit every year. Work Concerns are overlooked when brought up. (Reactive not Proactive) No direction or decisions from upper management. Raises are hard to come by; require promotions that are not discussed before hand. Expect slow to no answers to simple questions or guidance. The culture is highly unprofessional and inappropriate. Steer clear of this place as a professional woman.
