Pros

I really don't have any pros to give

Cons

This company is run by an egotistical, inexperienced, and out of touch CEO who treats her employees like garbage. She is frequently demeaning and has no issue publicly shaming you amongst your peers - whether it's through Slack messages or in person meetings. She will not value your past experience, and will not listen to your expertise (especially when she knows you have more than her!) She will read your emails and use them against you. Her story is unfortunately fake, and commonly used as a ploy to get in the room with clients. As someone who has worked in the media industry for a decade, I have relationships with clients who have told me that meetings with her were self-centered, unorganized, and chaotic, ultimately a show and tell that provided no real solutions for the client - so her behavior will effectively take away opportunities for you to work on. And she will blame you for the loss. Finally, you will not have growth opportunities here. Just before I left, she denied a hardworking member of my team her annual bonus, and not even 5 minutes later posted a pair of new Chanel boots on her IG story, next to another post bragging about her newly-renovated multi-million-dollar SoHo apartment. When you put in your two weeks, they will ask you to sign an NDA that prohibits you from taking legal action against her - because she knows exactly what she's doing. I am not listing my function here for this reason. I would really just avoid at all costs. Go watch her latest interview with Bloomberg for all you need to see and hear.

Pros

- Your teammates will likely be smart, creative, and supportive—because they have to be, in order to survive. - If you want to learn resilience the hard way, this is your bootcamp.

Cons

- Leadership communicates with little regard for professionalism or respect. Feedback is often public, personal, and degrading. - The CEO regularly speaks to employees in a way that would not fly in any other workplace I’ve experienced. There is no sense of psychological safety. - Priorities shift constantly. Expectations are unclear, and direction is reactive rather than strategic. - There is no structured career path, meaningful mentorship, or long-term employee investment. - Work-life balance is a joke. Expect late-night messages, weekend demands, and zero respect for boundaries. - Experts are hired, then ignored. The CEO routinely inserts herself as the non-existent authority on everything, which stalls progress and demoralizes the people actually hired to do the work.
