Pros

Great benefits including a generous PTO, which was available within the first month of hire. The people were generally nice and wanted to help.

Cons

The desk-side/peer training was insufficient for such a high pressure role. Procedures were confusing and overwhelming. Peers were very busy with their own work and did not really have time for questions. Managers included. As nice as they were, they all seemed stressed and overworked.

Pros

competitive salary for the area, great hours, convenient location for commute. For a large company you feel like one family.

There is no down side to this company

Pros

Decent benefits and a generous time off policy.

Cons

If you're not one of their advisers they really won't care much about you. They used to care about all the employees but now they only cater to the advisers (including those that can't do their jobs) while the rest of the company does just as much to run the ship. Sure, they'll pat you on the back and give you verbal accolades, but that will never translate into promotional opportunities or monetary compensation. If you get a bonus, assume the adviser gets 10x or more above and beyond yours regardless of how much effort you put in compared to them. Below average 401k match. No growth opportunity.
