DO NOT APPLY! The culture that is fostered at The MedSpa is toxic. The owner is where it all stems from. She cannot keep her staff. The only ones that stay are her estheticians because she favors them. She will talk about her own staff to other employees to fulfill her gossip needs. She will not hire you if you don’t fit her desired look, unless she is desperate. If you are “older” you have less chances of getting hired because she believes you will be unable to learn. If you have small children, you are also less likely to be hired. She will rarely tell you that you are doing a good job. All you will get is complaints, criticism and negativity. She is constantly late for her clients and has no respect for anyones time, not even her employees. If you like organization, this is not the place for you. It’s constant chaos which is a direct reflection of how she functions. You are expected to know things you’ve never learned or been taught. Deadlines are never met on time due to lack of time management. Benefits such as 401k and health insurance are not offered but this is the least of your worries if you’re employed. Your ideas or suggestions will never be heard. There’s no such thing as work/ life balance. If you take time off, you are made to feel badly about it, no matter how long you’ve worked there. HIPAA and OSHA violations are rampant. The surgeons of Raleigh Plastic Surgery Center are the medical directors and if they were aware of how this place really runs, I can guarantee you, it would come to an end. Laser tips are reused on clients faces which are supposed to be disposed of after one use. Estheticians do not wear protective goggles when preforming laser services on clients. Client files are brought in and out of the building. Client paperwork and names can be found left out at any given time. It’s sad because the place has so much potential to be a great work environment but it’s far from that. This is not coming from a “disgruntled employee”, just stating the facts and what many of us have experienced. Please consider this your warning and stay far away from here!
