Pros
snacks, office location, and HR events
Cons
Management is unchecked, unruly, and unreachable. They are too busy attempting to kiss up to those above them that they forget about the people they oversee. After attempting to report harassment to my manager, they scoffed and claimed I was overreacting as they are clouded by their unchecked power. Performance is the only measurement at Honest now. Managers used to hit quotas and have a heart, but recently, only performance-driven hawks are hired at a company that used to pride itself on purpose. With no clear role responsibilities, it leaves a lot of grey area for both employees and managers, leaving both very confused. Your manager assigns you their duties, repeatedly, and if you question them, you will be scorned and punished. The company used to be excellent: purpose-driven, invigorating, and lively. Now, it has become a place where "Happy Friday" is commonplace. No longer are the days of waiting for Monday to come around. It has now become a place with a pretty office and ugly culture. HR does an excellent job of attempting to cloud your sanity by putting on events with luxury food/snacks on the 5th-floor terrace. It almost makes you forget that you are treated like nothing by your manager. Customers have picked up on this as well. After listening to customer feedback via other departments and social media, they have noticed Honest has become just another money hungry CPG company and lost all of its initial unicorn luster.
