Pros
In general, Hoffman is a place with great culture, work-life balance (or as good as it can be in an agency) and minimum office politics. The agency is in a state of transitioning from B2B tech PR roots to an integrated, IMC offering. This digital transformation is a trend that can be seen across the industry, but where Hoffman is trying is best to do right is through upskilling existing staff (i.e. not separating digital + PR teams and hiring "digital" folks but genuinely trying to teach existing PR employees). At the forefront of this IMC/ digital charge is the Head of Digital for APAC who started in the company about 2 years back. He comes with lots of experience and his PR background enables him to easily understand and communicate with other team members. The agency also gives lots of opportunities to work with teams in other markets, and sees the value in promoting healthy client-agency relationships (don’t think that many agencies can say the same).
Cons
Sometimes workloads aren’t distributed fairly across teams. The great culture can also sometimes be a double-edged sword – some people may take advantage of this. It still has the typical hustle and bustle of agency life, so expect the typical long hours and crunch time madness when working with tight deadlines/ new biz proposals
