Pros
Commission can be really good if you're at the right property. Hourly pay is okay. Benefits are decent, I've had better.
Cons
Hours are terrible; open 7 days a week. Properties close at 6 while the corporate office closes at 5. Assistant managers are allowed to lease over the leasing agents while the leasing agents are present. Very unjust and misleading to a new leaser. This company is not electronic - everything is paper and they require tedious, daily reports from the leasing agents; this causes work overload especially if you have more than a few leases. To get paid your commission from leasing, they require a ridiculous amount of paper copies which not only adds to the extreme work overload, it's information the corporate office already has access to. This could also be easily eliminated with an electronic system in place. Management favor agents who lease more and allow said agents to get away with termination-worthy events. There is not much opportunity to grow past a property manager.
