Pros

17 reporters in 2 years, there is no positive.

Cons

Management overworks and underpays, also the editor is a passive bully who could care less about his reporters. Expect extreme disrespect and no training whatsoever. You get paid more as an assistant manager at Mcdonald's than as a reporter here. They will lie to you about your hours and then disrespect you to your face.

Pros

Options to make extra income. The Facts is a great environment for entry management learning.

Cons

Route delivery when the contractors do not show up for work. Delivering product in the rain.

Pros

Relatively laid back atmosphere, good opportunity to gain experience in many different aspects of print journalism. Staff reporters are all a good time and good people.

Cons

Hours are rough, taking take off is also rough because newsroom is short staffed. Sports editor is an absolute moron, has little to no journalistic training and is only in his position because "he knows a lot of people" according to the publisher. Pay is horrible, especially if you take into the account the amount of work require to do the job and overtime you work. But that is no surprise, it is a small newspaper.
