Pros
Great and fun job that you do not need much previous experience. Great for part-time college students or just looking for something interesting. You can easily be promoted within a few months to a Team Leader and form tight bonds with your in-store team.
Cons
VERY ENTRY LEVEL PAY with non-reliable hours. When I started out as a game guide I was constantly on edge if I was going to be cut from a shift or not. Being promoted helped, but then I had the pressure of cutting team members since our regional managers stressed keeping staff costs as low as possible. Which kind of goes against the Values that make you memorize. It's was a kind of cultish attitude when the higher ups came in town. They also skipped over a lot of Covid protocols in order to get teams in rooms faster.
