Pros
Working for a reconized Global Brand is a plus. Many, many good people work at Coca-Cola. The chance to learn through attrition as a result of the large facility and multiple meetings. You meet so many people and they are well educated and competent in their roles. Good focus on Corporate and Social Responsibility and sustainability initiatives. The company has made good progress in this area recently in their efforts to be considered a world class leader. The campus has some great areas to work and some really terrible areas as well. It is nice to have a Credit Union and cafeteria on site. FREE PARKING AND BEVERAGES and SUMMER HOURS!
Cons
A few very, very bad people. It is difficult to connect with Senior Management. They are isolated and insulated. They typically listen to the highest level of subordinate in their organization and accept that as fact regardless of the circumstances surrounding any given situation. The "funnel" approach to issue resolution ensures that management can insulate anyone form voicing a real opinion to them unfiltered and directly. Over-focus on diversity initiatives is unfair to the typical associate. Segmentation occurs between Corporate execs and "others". Coke's hiring process really sucks! Targeted selection ensures that the earlier mentioned diversity initiatives are met regardless of competency, skill, and seniority and there is no resolution process if you do not get the position. Feedback is typically generic and unspecific.
