Pay, merit, bonuses are all “decided” behind closed doors giving direct managers no choice on who gets what on the team; it’s up to what kind of mood your VP is in during the 24hrs given to do comp planning.
Unbalanced workload; just because you pay someone $100k+ doesn’t give you free rein to use and abuse them relentlessly.
Incredibly stressful with “plan” and goalposts constantly moving.
Numerous barriers just to get one task done.
Too many layers of duplicative approvals needed.
ZERO trust in the professionals they hired to do a job, making us overpaid paper pushers.
