Pros

- Direct and indirect teams are friendly and approachable - Managers generally care about their direct reports - Flexible schedule, especially during slower times of the year. - Beautiful office and convenient location; plenty of parking (and is free!) - Onsite gym and cafe

Cons

- The biggest con of all is the pay. I'm significantly underpaid compared to my peers at other companies. Management will use a variety of excuses to allow this, such as, "your pay is inline with your peers here". Underpaying the department isn't a valid rationale. - Long work hours during the Spring-Summer. It can be very overwhelming. - Benefits are lackluster, especially insurance! I'm shocked how it can be so poor, given they are a Health Insurance company - PTO can be difficult to take. Busiest times of year are during Spring-Summer; precisely when people want to take it. - Taking PTO can be frustrating; even though it's typically approved, work is left for you to return to. This disincentives taking PTO, especially when it's busy.

Pros

The Cigna Group overall is a fantastic company to work for! They invest in their employees and do a great job ensuring everyone, in all departments/locations/teams feel as if they matter with the multitude of perks they offer to employees. Many team members were knowledgeable, hardworking, and genuinely committed to supporting the healthcare industry.

Cons

While employed at Cigna healthcare, I experienced a work environment that often lacked consistent communication, balanced workload distribution, and transparent leadership practices. High-performing employees were frequently expected to absorb additional responsibilities without corresponding support, while shifting expectations and excessive micromanagement created unnecessary stress and instability. Over time, this impacted morale, trust within teams, and overall employee well-being.
