What The Cathedral Center brings to me. Connection to the mission. Helping create an environment that focuses on the women and families that pass through our doors. Giving them the resources they need to navigate the system and housing. Real life stuff. Every day we show up and give of our time and talents to create better. It’s not easy, and sometimes we get frustrated. Sometimes we are tired. But this is a place, that if you put in the effort, you can help grow to become even better. It’s easy to blame others, but it’s more rewarding to actively listen and hear what is needed and work to bring that to fruition. Every day I see what I can do to help make it better. This org has a founder problem. It's been run by the same ED since day one, so the entire org is one big mirror of her neuroses. If you have low expectations of yourself and little work ethic you'll thrive in the lack of accountability and structure. As long as you don't actively cause trouble and keep your head down, you'll be great. Stick to the middle. Make sure you work at least an hour or two...
