Pros

The health insurance package is the only bonus!

Cons

Where do i begin? This company sucks since the new CEO took over! He ran Seaford into the ground and Texas Mutual is next! He's brought in his own people with him and they are just as cold hearted as he is! The old Ceo said your priorities should be as follows: GOD, FAMILY, & JOB! This new guy money, money, & more money. THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER WORKED FOR!!! IF you are in Underwriting you may make it, if in claims forget about it. Claims have unrealistic expectations of there adjusters. There is no way humanly possible that you can complete everything that is expected. Its not enough hours in the day to do your job. They need more people, but yet they keep firing people!! Turnover is astronomical! Texas Mutual prides themselves in snatching the rug from underneath there employees! They insure the undesirable, which means you can expect ALL the claims you handle to be undesirable. If i knew back then what i knew now i would have passed on there bogus offer. The compensation is no where near the extra hours you put in. Claims is there ALL TIMES OF THE NIGHT WHEREAS UNDERWRITING BARRELS FOR THE DOOR AT 330/4PM!

Pros

The mission and resources can be counted as pros as compared to other carriers, benefits are decent

Cons

Supervisor and Senior management additions and changes have been a nightmare. Abrupt changes to content and standards have been implemented with no guidance or direction. Already unmanageable workloads have doubled because directives are unclear, inefficient and not thought out, not from any realistic perspective from people completing the work. Staff is struggling to adapt to changes but supervisors and management insist “ we figure it out” burning valuable time guessing and results being rejected. Excessive meetings are help and promise to reduce workloads and provide clarification but things continue to deteriorate. Existing staff is required to attend extensive leadership training he but when positions open, outside candidates are hired WITH NO EXPERIENCE in lieu of current dedicated employees. Staff struggled to understand the roles of management as they don’t provide guidance or support and often have no recent work g knowledge of the current job, it’s demands and it’s process.
